Based at Castle Armoury in Bury, the Band and Drum Corps of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers (Lancashire) was founded by its president Lieutenant Col (Rtd) Eric Davidson MBE DL to keep alive the tradition of the former constituent regiments; The Lancashire Fusiliers XX and The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. The band has currently around 30 members with the drums numbering around 20. The uniform proudly worn is that of the regular regiment which is headquartered in the Tower of London.

As an individual unit they have travelled the length and breadth of the country performing their now famous ‘black light’ show; precision drumming under cover of darkness, the movement of their sticks only visualised by the emission of ultra violet light.

In addition the band have a full set of fanfare trumpets which have featured in events such as the rugby league finals at Wembley and Old Trafford and the Mayor-making ceremonies each year in Bury.
